Heathfield itself is a very friendly village and a great gateway for long country or forest walks. With a five-star livery stable (link to www.millstables.com) and an abundance of quiet bridleways on our doorstep, the lodge is a haven for horse-riders.
And, being a Cotswolds village, we have a lovely local pub serving fine ales and meals during the evening, with an excellent carvery on Sundays.
As a base for great days out, our location (link to 'our location' section) is perfect. Less than an hour's commute from London or Birmingham, the lodge is just four miles from the dreaming spires of Oxford city and at the hub of England's best days out. From Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds to the ancient Rollright Stones and White Horse Hill… they all on your doorstep.
And don't worry about being too far away from modern life: the lodge has excellent mobile coverage for all networks.
